Jackson Area Chapter Disaster Relief Program

More than 73,000 disasters a year all come down to one single terrible moment for someone.

Fire is the largest single disaster occurrence in our communities and the American Red Cross will respond with caring relief and emergency assistance based on your immediate emergency needs.
If you are a victim of fire or other disaster:

All disaster relief assistance is free and confidential, but we will need information from you to process your fire case:
Verification of the disaster incident in the form of a fire report or a call from a fire chief or other unit representative.
Social security numbers, names and ages of residents living in the home at the time of the fire.
A form of Identification such as driver’s license, mail, utility bill, birth certificates, health cards, DHS or SSI paperwork.
If you have special, critical needs that require immediate attention or live in a multi-family dwelling, please call at any time (day, night or weekends) and one of our caseworkers will assess your needs.

Assistance That May Be Available:

The Red Cross is prepared to guide and assist your recovery process with basic, immediate, emergency needs that cannot be met with other resources. Based on four emergency needs:

Shelter

Groceries

Clothing

Referrals to other Agencies and organizations that may be able to help in your recovery.
Red Cross Assistance Is An Outright Gift. It is provided by 
voluntary contributions from the American people.
