Course
Design:
American Red Cross courses are open to
the public and are designed for individual community lay
responders and flexible delivery for business and industry
employee certification that meet OSHA first aid
guidelines. Courses combine video, lecture, interactive
multimedia and hands-on training to teach participants
lifesaving skills, in accordance with the Emergency
Cardiovascular Care Guidelines. Participants must
successfully complete skills and a written exam to receive
certification. Records of certification are maintained by
the local American Red Cross Chapter.
Registration and Payment Policy:
Individual Applicants: You will need
to come by the chapter before class to pre-pay and pre-register for all
community classes. Once you have pre-paid you are then registered in
class. Please fill out the online registration form and send to
the chapter. Once the online registration is received, you will be
called and any other information needed will be given at this time. If
for any reason you do not receive a telephone call in regards to you
registration call the chapter at (731) 427-5543. Classes fill quickly, so
help us to reserve your spot in the class or classes you wish to attend
by calling or come by the chapter and pre-pay and pre-register at least
five days prior to class date.
Corporate-Business Applicants:
Employees can be enrolled into the Business Day Class
or
for groups of 6 or more we can schedule a class to be
taught at your location or here at the chapter on a
date and time agreed upon. Please call Sue Hart in Health

select the Class Calendar below to send in an online
registration and she will contact you.
Withdrawal and
Refund Policy: You must submit
your request to withdraw three (3) business days before the
first day of class to receive a full refund. Please allow
three to four weeks for processing of refunds. Confirmed
registrants who do not attend class, or who cancel less than
three (3) days before the first class are responsible for the
entire fee. Participants’ spaces are reserved and failure to
attend class does not imply withdrawal and refunds will not be
issued. However, you may reschedule once for another class
without having to pay again.
AnAuthorized
Provider is an American Red Cross
instructor that provides training for their company employees,
volunteers, clients or members of the community. As an Authorized
Provider for your company you can train employees or members of
your company wherever and whenever you need. It’s a cost
effective way to offer First Aid, CPR, and Automated External
Defibrillation (AED) training in-house. The American Red Cross
will maintain your instructor records, issue certificates upon
completion of class, provide you with training updates. Training
materials can be rented (manikins) and/or purchased (books) from
the chapter. To obtain more info about becoming an Authorized
